One of the last remaining businesses inside Des Moines Court Center is suing the owners of the troubled building.
The company that owns Downtown Tap and Patio says the building’s management hurt their business by allowing illegal activity in the area.

Last year, the city forced the building to stop selling alcohol after midnight.
The suit is demanding $500,000 from Court Center for breach of contract and negligence. The suit comes as new owners take over the building .
They told us earlier this week, they plan to renovate and relaunch the space under the name “The CC.”
In a statement, Court Center LCC says it “vigorously denies” the claims listed in the suit.
Ownership says they are moving forward with plans to improve the space.
