Multiservice provider relocates Wilson Borough business

A business handling international wire transfers, notary services and financial services has a new site in Wilson Borough.

Cell Express LLC owner Paula Rodriguez-Restrepo recently acquired the 2,100-square-foot commercial building at 1600 Northampton Street. The space previously was occupied by a health center in operation by the state.

Rodriguez-Restrepo, a Colombia native now residing in Palmer Township, previously rented space for the business across the street at at 1555 Northampton St. She began the business in 2019 in the United States after moving from Columbia about seven years ago, she told lehighvalleylive.com .

The new site now will become a more permanent headquarters for Cell Express LLC, which provides phone, notary, translation and other services. The business is expected to open at the new location in late July or early August.

Rodriguez-Restrepo said the larger space also will allow for more business growth. When she initially began the venture, she helped about 20 clients, which has now grown to more than 1,500 annually, she told lehighvalleylive.com . Rodriguez-Restrepo also now has two employees on her roster.

β€œThe business has been growing and this move will allow us to continue to expand and help people stay in touch with their families in Latin America,” Rodriguez-Restrepo said.

Jeff Barber of Allentown-based Lehigh Financial Group LLC arranged the financing for the move. Annette Gallego of IronValley Real Estate represented the buyer and Mike Seitz of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox and Roach represented the seller. The Settlement Company of Allentown was the closing agent.
