RICHMOND, Ind. — A convicted burglar has been accused of breaking into a Richmond business.
Noah Charles Mosey, 49, of Richmond, was charged this week in Wayne Superior Court 2 with burglary, a Level 5 felony carrying up to six years in prison.
According to an affidavit, a May 22 break-in at Mosey Manufacturing, 262 Fort Wayne Avenue, prompted management there to install security cameras.
After a June 22 burglary, owners of the business — who are members of Mosey’s extended family — said they reviewed surveillance footage and realized the intruder was the Richmond man.
A police officer familiar with Mosey also said he recognized him in the video.

Investigators said a window at the business had been broken.
Items missing from the property included a moped and an airless sprayer. The video reportedly showed Mosey using a forklift to load the moped onto a work truck, which he left in and later returned, wiping down the driver’s door and steering wheel “in an apparent attempt to get rid of his fingerprints,” an officer wrote.
Mosey already faced three charges — unlawful possession of a syringe, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance — filed against him last August in Randolph Superior Court.
According to court records, he had been convicted of crimes including burglary, domestic battery, invasion of privacy, possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, resisting law enforcement, and theft.
