The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card is a powerhouse card built for small-business owners, offering automatic Hilton Gold elite status and a number of other perks for an annual fee of just $95 (see rates and fees ).
Couple that with a lucrative welcome offer , and it’s clear that this card can offer value to many Hilton loyalists with lots of business expenses.
Let’s take a closer look at the Hilton Business card to see if it’s a fit for you.
Welcome offer
Right now, the Hilton Amex Business is offering 150,000 Hilton Honors bonus points and a free night award after you spend $4,000 on purchases within the first three months of card membership. Offer ends July 19.
TPG values 150,000 Hilton Honors bonus points at $900, making this one of the best offers we’ve seen on this card . The free night award can add hundreds of dollars to the value of the welcome offer, depending on which property you choose to use it at.

Earning points
The Hilton Business Amex earns a strong 12 points per dollar at Hilton hotels and resorts , plus 6 points per dollar on the following categories:
- U.S. gas stations .
- Wireless phone services purchased from U.S. providers.
- U.S. shipping purchases.
- U.S. restaurants .
- Flights booked directly with airlines or through American Express Travel .
- Car rentals booked directly with select car rental companies.
You’ll also earn 3 points per dollar on all other eligible purchases.
That’s a healthy earning rate, especially if your business spends a lot at Hilton in those elevated (and broad) categories. The rates equate to a 7.2% return at Hilton properties and a 3.6% return on the business spending categories, per TPG valuations .
Redeeming points
Your Hilton Honors points can be redeemed for hotel nights, Hilton event discounts, Hilton Honors Experiences , with airline partners and on Amazon purchases. However, we recommend the first for the best value (by far).

Hilton Honors uses a dynamic pricing system, so you might want to use its Points Explorer tool to show you the award redemption price range for a specific property over the next 30 days.
