Fred Kocher sits down with Steve Saltzman to discuss buying home parks and housing affordability
An interesting trend has developed, investment groups are buying New Hampshire manufacture home parks. At the same time, the residents of some parks are collectively buying their own parks, but housing affordability remains the largest issue.
There are 400 manufactured-home parks in New Hampshire with thousands of households and 146 parks are resident-owned communities. This includes parks in Manchester, Litchfield, Epsom, Exeter and Barrington with 2,900 homes with a reported $245,300,000.
On the latest installment of NH Business, host Fred Kocher is joined by Steve Saltzman, President and CEO of the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund. This service helps manufactured homeowners to collectively buy their own parks. Their main focus is manufactured homes, resident-owned communities, small businesses, local food, nonprofits, childcare centers and multifamily housing.
