“I went into a free spin, and I went into a ditch, and I lost everything. My truck, my trailer dented, and all the watermelons was all over the highway, but I did walk from it and I’m thankful for that,” said Walker.

Walker said he has been in the watermelon business for nine years, driving to different towns selling the fruit.

“I’m probably going to retire, man. I can’t do this, man,” said Walker in a video posted to social media.

But with the support of others in the community, he is looking for a way to continue his business.

“I love selling watermelons. I love making happy tummies and happy faces. I enjoy it. I live for it. it brings me great joy,” said Walker. “I hate that this happened, and I feel like I let a lot of people down, and I’m sad right now.”

He said he has seen a lot of support from people who knew him, and he is thankful for that.

“I’ve been crying, but I dry my tears, and I’m just going to do what I can and serve,” said Walker.

Walker hopes to get his business going as soon as possible.

“I’m trying to get back and running and get to y’all as soon as I can. I’m trying. I’m trying,” said Walker.

He still needs some repairs on his truck and trailer to get back on the road, but people are already chipping in to get him back on his feet.
