BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – On This Week in Louisiana Politics, Governor John Bel Edwards pushed out more vetoes including making changes to the state’s operating budget to fill in a cut to the Department of Health.
HB1 , written by Jerome Zeringue, R-Houma, gave the appropriate funding for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024. Edwards signed and passed the bill on Thursday, June 29, but decided to veto five parts about budget cuts.
